She keeps me entertained

It speaks for itself.

alrighty, so i tried to post from my phone and I obviously need more work in that department.  sorry folks  :op

apologies

Alright, I’ve never been one to say “I’m sorry” but I have been MIA lately and I really am sorry.  ):  I don’t even know why I haven’t been posting as much as I would like, but my blog is not the only thing that has taken a back seat.  Yes, I have 2 kids in sports.  We are getting back into the weeks where there isn’t one day we’re not doing anything.  My only “free time” seems to be in the mornings.  And my family can for this, I am not a morning person.  I am a bear.  A mean, ‘ole, grouchy, grizzly bear.  And we’re totally busy in the evenings.  The kids havent even been getting to bed until around 9:30-10 p.m.!  By then, I’m so pooped I’m usually in bed before they are.  I baby sit my nephew 2-3 days a week as you all know.  He wasn’t here for 10 minutes yesterday morning before he got paint everywhere and flushed 2 toothbrushes down the toilet.  Little M’s birthday is today.  I don’t have anything planned for her.  And I only started thinking about a party to celebrate Sunday!  So she’s gonna have to wait 3 weeks before her party.  ):  poor baby.  I hope I can pull it off.  It’s Candy Shoppe themed.  I still can’t find invitations I’m satisfied with.  Today, I thought I’d take her to a nearby indoor playground, but it was already 11:30 when I thought of that, so I scratched that idea.  And at noon, I thought about taking her out to get pictures.  Being as I have no time management I thought it would be safer to stay home for the day (because we have another busy evening and I need to be here when Big M gets home from school).  I have a bunch of tutu and hairbow orders that I need to have done by tomorrow anyway. I owe everyone who comments and orders a huge “THANK YOU”   (:  I’m blessed that you all like my work and I enjoy doing it.  I’m happy to report I’ve been doing well with that.

Big M has had his first baseball game.  I forgot my camera  ):  He did well, but we really need to work on good sportsmanship and teamwork.  He is so hard on himself.  ):  It really breaks my heart to hear and see the way he treats himself.  Another game today, so I am really hoping we have a better day.

Here is a run down of my schedule from the last couple days so you all have a better idea of what I’ve been up to.

Last Wednesday – Kids first day back to school from easter break.  I need to meet with M’s teachers because he has a bad attitude.  End of the year of 4th grade and he has started name calling.  I am not happy  ):<

Last Thursday – M had practice, I think.  Maybe that was his scrimmage.  Something was scheduled.  Maybe it even got canceled because we are getting more rain than we have ever had ever before.

Last Friday – Had to make a long trip that day, run a bunch of errands, B had practice.  We didn’t make it home ’till late.  All I did that day was live in my car.  I also had the nephew that day.

Saturday – Big M and B had baseball pics, at different times of course.  More running around.  Pick up 2 of Big M’s friends to sleepover.  FIL’s Birthday party. Remember Little M’s birthday is Thursday.

Sunday – 5:30 a.m.  Tell the boys to go to sleep finally.  Run more errands.  Pop-pop’s birthday party.  Show Little M some birthday party ideas and tell her to choose one.  She chose three.  Princess, Yo Gabba Gabba & Candy Shoppe.  I’ll  stick with the later.

nday – Kids to and from school.  The nephew.  Got kids ready for game and all dressed in layers (because its May here and feels like March) only to have it canceled as I am loading them all in the car.  To Grandma’s and Pop-Pops and to my parents new house and dinner with them.  Also migraine from H—.

Tuesday – Kids to and from school.  Took Marley, our Boxer to B’s school for show-n-tell.  She was so cute.  Wish I had pictures, but I forgot my camera.  I am drawing a blank on how this evening went.

Wednesday – Kids to school.  The nephew.  a little grocery shopping.  Forgot my checkbook.  Debit card MIA.  Only $5 in cash.  Must leave the store in embarrassment with no groceries.  Pick up B from school and take Big M his glasses.  Go get the groceries.  Look online for invitations.  Get big M and another child from school.  Dress in layers and break out the winter coats and accessories because its only 40 out and Big M has a game.

There you have it.  I promise I’m not lounging around on the couch eating bon bons (well maybe from 9-11 a.m.  ;)  j k).  As you can see, my blog isn’t the only thing that has suffered from my craziness.  Little M, my 3rd child, always gets the short end of the stick.

(TMI ALERT)

And so does my underwear.  (Don’t worry, they are clean, just ones I used to wear pre-motherhood)

Now every time I backspace to correct something, when I type it types right over what was previously written.  Sorry bout that but I know you’re all smart enough to figure it out.  ;)  thanks for reading and I hope you all enjoy Little M’s Birthday  =)   Maybe tomorrow if I’m not crazy I’ll do a post for her.  That’s a good idea!!   (:  a la “The Boy”.

Don’t drink too many margharitas.  (;  (oh I spelled that right.  I’m impressed!!  (:   )

B’s 1st baseball practice

B had her first baseball practice on Friday.  She was so excited, she had on her baseball pants and spikes at 7 am that morning.  Practice was at 5 pm.  When we got there she was shy and clingy and didn’t want to leave my side.  M went to the car to get his glove so he could “coach” and warmed up with her.  She felt a lot better with her big brother there helping her and was soon off to the next “station” without him.  I am so proud of her.  She is so funny and cute.  She is only one of two girls on her team but that doesn’t bother her at all.  And she’s like the most talented kid on her team!  =)  I swear!  I was the only dorky mom taking pictures, and I have a lot for your viewing pleasure!!  :)

  Fielding Grounders Station

  Shes in the all grey.

I might as well just start calling her (insert famous baseball players name here because I don’t know any).

  Batting Station

  She hit almost every one.

Max proud of his sister.  He’s lifting her up with a huge hug!  :)

Running the Bases

  Look at her go!

Of course, you have to slide into home plate.

The end of practice group, hand, cheer team name, thing.

And to finish off this fun post.  I know I have promised to never horrify my readers by showing you “What I’m Cooking” posts.  But I will tell you I made the BEST dinner I have ever made in my entire life.  The kids were silent while eating it.  Oh it was amazing.

My Oven Pot Roast with carrots, onions, and red potatoes ( do you really spell potatos like that?  my spell checker changed it.  huh)

and mac and cheese, not homemade, but the fancish-er one. lol  =)

And please don’t tell me pot roast is easy.  This is coming from someone who has ruined 3.  In a crock-pot.

New Family

This past weekend was an exciting one.  I finally got to meet my 2 week old cousin Kyleah.  She is tiny, precious, and perfect.  My aunt and uncle are so proud of their daughter.

The New Daddy

The New Mommy

She is so small and sweet!  And looks just like a doll!  Absolutely perfect!  I just love her!  And so does her big cousin B.

Yes, I made her a Steelers headband.

And here is her little cousin, not quite 8 months old, trying to get a peek at the new addition.

It was so nice welcoming her with so many other members of my family.  I love get togethers and we don’t do that often enough.

Sunday was a HUGE day for my sister and I.  We have 2 sisters and 2 brothers that we got to meet for the very first time!  I was a bundle of nerves, and full of excitement all day.  My siblings mom was hospitable enough that she invited my mom and dad along.  I am so so thankful for her kindness and that my parents agreed and came along with my sister and I, and our families.   Everyone got along great and I don’t think the day could have been better.  My oldest, younger sister (does that make sence?) has 4 kids too!  So we got to meet 2 of our nieces!  The girls all got along so well.  I can’t wait to spend more time with my sisters.

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend and put that beautiful weather to good use.  Because today, its cold!  I have a busy week ahead.  I have to finish up everything for my craft show by Friday!  If you’re local please stop by.  We will have a ton of stuff for your little princess!  You won’t want to miss out.  :)

The Boy

My son.  Maxtin Jayse.  He is better than anything I could ever have asked for.  He has my heart.

I wound up pregnant at 17.  Scared and ashamed.  I felt very alone during that time.  When he arrived on October 24th, 2000 I was overwhelmed with love and pride.  I had my son.  My baby boy.  I vividly remember those days when he was a little babe.  He was the sweetest, happiest and cutest little guy ever.  I miss those days a lot.  It was a struggle.  I worked part-time and went to college part-time.  Everyone loved him.  Having a supportive family made it easier.  When he was a preschooler we moved out of mom and dads and got our own apartment.  Those days were a treasure.  I was still working part-time.  But by this time I left college.  We spent our time together playing, reading, learning.  I couldn’t afford cable then, so we spent a lot of quality time together.  He was the smartest little kid I’d ever known.  And the most beautiful. Everywhere we went someone was giving me a compliment on him.  When I found out I was pregnant with B my biggest fear was not having enough love to share.  I soon discovered that love does not divide, it grows.  My son is a big brother to 2 little girls.  And a fantastic one.

They fight.  A lot.  Mostly, he teaches them, and protects them.  He does what they want to do.  And most of the time will let them choose what to watch.  He is very tender, tucking his little sisters into bed each night.  And they love him more than anything.

He’s a smart kid.  Smarter than I even know why.  I struggled in school very early on.  He gets Honor roll every quarter.  He brings home a lot of A’s.  My refrigerator is cluttered.  He loves reading.  He read 9 books for the month of March and wrote a report for each one.  He was richly was rewarded by his teacher, and proud of his achievement.  It fascinates me he enjoys a good book so much.  He has 2 A’s and 2 B’s right now.  He’s so bright.  I couldn’t be more proud of my boy.

He’s an athlete.  And he’s a good one too.  With a fantastic group of friends.  I’m proud of his outgoing attitude.  Not like me at all. He plays football, basketball, and baseball.

I love being his #1 fan.

He got to go to the symphony today with his class.  He was excited, because I used to play violin.  But tried to play it cool because he was asked to dress up.  Cool, 10-year-old athletes don’t dress up.  According to him.  This was the best I could do.  It was a compromise.  He got to pick out the pants and I got to pick out his shirt.  I couldn’t get him into khakis.  I tried.  But he looks pretty darn handsome to me.

We absolutely have a special bond.  We watched each other grow up in a way.  I love my boy so much.  He is one of my greatest gifts.  Perfect in every way.  I miss my baby boy.  But I am so proud of the young man he is becoming.

I love you my sweet boy.  With all of my heart.

Love,   Mommy
